Often after preaching, there are things I wish I would have said, clarifications I wish I had made, or insights from post-sermon conversations with others that can be helpful. Today, I've mostly got random things going through my head...hey, you get what you pay for, right?

This is a running list of short, sermon afterthoughts. The text was Colossians 1:24-2:5 and the sermon title was: Your Suffering Serves a Purpose.

  • Remember, we're scattering next Sunday night in light of the Super Bowl. There will be no Sunday night service. This is a beautiful opportunity to join with the people around you in the ways they're already gathering. As we invite people into our home or go into theirs, may we be the distinct people of God.

  • I enjoyed my time with you last night. I enjoy hearing your feedback and welcome both complimentary and critical. If you're interested to learn helpful ways to give your pastor feedback, check out this LINK.

  • We're hosting the Mingling of Souls Marriage webcast on February 27th at the Post Falls Nazarene building. Mark your calendars.

  • It'll go from 8:30am to 3pm. Cost is $5 per person to offset some cost. If money is an issue, come anyways. We'll do a potluck style lunch and All of Life Church will provide all drinks, snacks, and breakfast eats (muffins, donuts, fruit, etc.)

  • The EQUIP Learning Group will begin on Sunday afternoons at 2pm. It's for anyone who is looking for a systematic, high relational means to grow in your knowledge of God and your relationship with Him.

  • Even more, EQUIP will give you direction, challenge, and new tools to make disciples of Jesus who make disciples of Jesus. It's open to men and women. Email me if you want a PDF of the content to look over: jared@alloflife.church

  • I'm still processing last nights message...my mind/brain feels pretty blank this morning.

  • If you're looking for good, easily-readable, devotional book on Colossians, do yourself a favor and BUY THIS BOOK. It's solid! The author, Sam Storms, bills it as 100 daily meditations on the book of Colossians. I'm reading it as my own devotional. If you're hesitating to spend the money, we'll be in Colossians through the end of March. FYI.

  • I'm praying for you all by name today. Keep the wind of faith in Jesus at your back and turn your face into the wind of your doubts. God is faithful to keep you in His love, grow you up in maturity, and fulfill all that He has promised you.
