The gospel is the good news that God rescues sinners through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Through Him, we receive forgiveness, peace with God, and new life—all as a gift of grace. This good news is at the heart of everything we believe, teach, and do at All of Life.

WHO IS JESUS?

At the center of Christianity is a person—Jesus Christ.

Jesus is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. He entered human history and became fully human while remaining fully God. He lived the sinless life we have failed to live, willingly died on the cross in the place of sinners, and rose bodily in victory over sin and death.

Through His death and resurrection, Jesus has accomplished everything necessary to reconcile us to God. He offers forgiveness, new life, and eternal hope to everyone who trusts Him.

Today, Jesus is exalted and reigns as Lord over all things. One day, He will return to judge the world, make all things new, and dwell with His people forever.

HOW DO I BECOME A CHRISTIAN?

We are saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We cannot earn His forgiveness or make ourselves right with Him.

The Bible teaches that every person has sinned against God. Our sin separates us from Him, and we are spiritually unable to save ourselves. Yet before the world began, God, in His love and mercy, chose to save a people for Himself through Jesus Christ.

God freely offers salvation to everyone through the good news of Jesus. Whenever someone becomes a Christian, it is because the Holy Spirit has first worked in their heart, awakening them to their need for Christ and giving them the desire and ability to respond. From beginning to end, salvation is a gift of God’s grace.

We respond by turning from our sin and placing our trust in Jesus Christ alone.

Turning from sin means acknowledging our rebellion against God and turning to Him for forgiveness and a new direction. Trusting Jesus means relying on His life, death, and resurrection as the sufficient basis for our acceptance with God. We come to Him with our need, trusting Him to forgive us and change us.

Everyone who trusts in Christ is completely forgiven, declared righteous because of Him (justified), and welcomed into God’s family as His beloved child (adopted).

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Following Jesus begins a lifelong journey of being transformed by Him. The Holy Spirit lives in every believer, helping us understand Scripture, turn from sin, love others, and grow in obedience.

Christians still struggle and fail. When we do, we return to Jesus in repentance and faith, confident in His mercy. God faithfully continues the work He has begun, and all who truly belong to Christ are kept secure by His power. As challenging as it may be to see at first, our New Identity becomes Saint. It is no longer sinner.

When Jesus returns, He will raise His people to everlasting life, free us completely from sin, and make us like Him in holiness. We will enjoy life with God forever in a fully restored creation.

WHY IS THE GOSPEL CENTRAL TO ALL OF LIFE?

We never outgrow our need for the good news of Jesus. The same grace that saves us continues to shape how we live.

Because Christ has welcomed us, we welcome others. Because He has forgiven us, we confess our sins honestly and extend forgiveness. Because He gave Himself for us, we give generously. Because He rose from the dead, we face suffering and the future with hope.

We return to the gospel again and again as we learn to follow Jesus, be transformed by Him, and make disciples for Him—in all of life.

AN EXAMPLE PRAYER OF FAITH

You can come to Jesus honestly, right now and right where you are. You do not need fancy words or a life already put together. A prayer can express your faith, but the words themselves cannot save you. Jesus saves everyone who turns to Him and trusts Him. If you are ready to respond, this prayer can help you put that trust into words:

Lord Jesus, I know that I have sinned against You and cannot save myself. I believe that You are God the Son, who came to rescue sinners like me. Thank You for living a sinless life, dying on the cross for my sin, and rising again in victory over sin and death. I turn from my sin and place my trust in You alone. Have mercy on me. Forgive me, make me new, and receive me as Your own. I surrender my life and my future into Your hands. Teach me to follow You. Transform my heart, mind, desires, and actions so that I can know You deeply, love You wholeheartedly, and help others know You. Thank You for Your grace and the hope of eternal life. I trust You as my Savior and submit to You as my Lord. Amen.

Through Jesus, we come to God as our Father—with confidence, honesty, and dependence. We bring Him our needs, confess our sins, give thanks, and ask Him to work in us and through us. You don’t need impressive words or years of experience to begin. Prayer is for everyone learning to trust Him.

Think of someone God has placed in your life—a neighbor, coworker, friend, or family member who needs to know Jesus. Begin with their name and their story. Pray for them, listen well, serve them, and look for opportunities to speak about Jesus’ with love and clarity.

God has been generous to us in Jesus, and His grace shapes how we use everything He has entrusted to us. At All of Life, we give willingly and joyfully, trusting our Father to provide as we serve, sacrifice, and share.

Where Is Your Treasure?

What we treasure shapes how we live. Because Jesus is our lasting hope and security, we can hold our possessions with open hands. Generosity grows as we recognize what we have received in Him and respond with gratitude. Together, our giving supports the ministry of our church, helps meet needs, and strengthens the work of spreading the gospel.
